Introduction - Home Page
Hi there! My name is Amanda, but most people refer to me as "that pet lady" instead. I used to raise guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, hamsters and gerbils (on a small scale, so they could all get the handling and attention they deserved). I used this webpage to let people know what I had available at any given time. I also did some rescue work, so from time to time I'd have something different pop up looking for a home. Please feel free to bookmark my page and check back. I am going to try to turn this page into an educational place full of guides and so on to help people in search of or researching a new pet, looking to better their care for an existing pet, or looking for help with common issues. I'm always available to answer questions! Follow me on Twitter @ThatPetLady
What's Available
Nothing at the moment. I'm taking a break from animals for a while following a family emergency that has shifted where our time and energy is invested. Right now my focus is on education. I hope to jump back in to rescue and rabbit breeding in the future, but for right now, I'm not sure when that will be. We really need to get a bigger property to be able to get a better set up for rescue so we can help more than one or two at a time.
Location
I'm in the Brainerd Lakes Area (Minnesota). I'm happy to meet you in town if you're interested in one of the animals looking for a home. If you need delivery outside of Brainerd, I do charge a fee based on distance (may be waived on a case-by-case basis). I do not ship any of my animals. Face-to-face transactions only.
Adopting A Pet
I accept Paypal for adopters out of area, or those putting a hold on an animal prior to weaning date. I accept cash in person, or Credit Cards in person (with proper ID). No checks, no money orders, no Western Union, and no IOUs. I may be open to trades for needed supplies, but only to qualified homes (I won't trade if I don't think you'd provide a good home for the pet in question).
**I reserve the right to decline any sale (at my discretion) if I feel it is not an appropriate match for the animal, or for the potential buyer/adopter.**
